FREE Introduction to Triathlon at the Waldo County YMCA

Join us at the Waldo County YMCA on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. we will have a question and answer session to help folks to learn more about our triathlon and how you can participate!

On May 10, 2014 the Waldo County YMCA will host our 5th Annual Family Triathlon Festival. The Y is gearing up for fun for the whole family! This is a race for everyone, after the full sprint tri in the morning for adults and teens, the children’s triathlons will begin in the afternoon.

 

Join us at the Waldo County YMCA on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. we will have a question and answer session to help folks to learn more about our triathlon and how you can participate! There is no cost for this Introduction to Triathlon, we will help local athletes take their first step toward competing in a triathlon.   This clinic will cover a variety of topics for the beginner triathlete such as:

• What to wear • Defining 'brick workout' • How to set up your transition area •

 

 

This talk will be held in conjunction with the Waldo County YMCA Family Triathlon Festival that will be held on May 10, 2014.  For adult triathletes, the festival will feature a 525 yard pool swim, a 12.2 mile bike ride, and a 3.5 mile run. Mini triathlon races for kids will begin in the afternoon!
