1:00 pm - Pruning to Rejuvenate Ice Storm Damaged Trees
Doug Johnson from TREEKEEPERS LLC - Johnson's Arboriculture in Camden will talk and demonstrate the best pruning practices and strategies to renew and rejuvenate ice damaged trees. While much damage from the ice storm needs to be remedied by professionals, smaller pruning projects can be accomplished by homeowners. Doug will also discuss the best tools you need.

2:30 pm - Best Trees to Survive Ice Storms
Hammon Buck, owner of Plants Unlimited. will discuss the best tree varieties to survive ice damage and heavy snow loads. Because of limb rigidity or tree branching structure, certain trees fare better than others in severe weather loads.Participants will receive a handout of these tree varieties
