On Saturday, October 19, the Dirigo Grange #98 will have an Apple Fest at the Dirigo Grange Hall located on Rt. 137 in Freedom. The fest will begin at 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
The menu will consist of: Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Brown Bread, Chop Suey, Cole Slaw, Pickles, Apples, Apple Pie with Ice Cream and Coffee.
Cost per Adult is $7.00 and $4.00 for children under age 5.
The next scheduled Selectmen’s meeting will be held on Monday, October 21 at the Town Office starting at 6:00 p.m.
Economic Development Committee Meeting:
(Implementation Comm. Meeting) will hold their meeting on Tuesday, October 22, at the Town Office starting at 6:30 p.m.
Dirigo Grange #98:
There will NOT be a meeting on Thursday, October 17 for the Dirigo Grange members.
Voice of Freedom:
Chris Spaulding of Freedom, scored a touchdown in last week’s game, but the Mustangs still lost. Keep supporting the Mt. View football team, for they are a good team and will be getting better.
Monday, October 14 is Columbus Day and a long weekend for some and also Thanksgiving Day in Canada. A Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian neighbors.
On The Road To Recovery:
Joan Lingley is home and recovering from a recent stay in the hospital. I hope with each passing day you will be up and around once more. Joan is the wife to Everett Lingley, Mt. View school bus driver.
Well another week has come and gone, leaves are falling, wood piles are being stacked and we will pass through fall very quickly. So enjoy the beautiful days and colored leaves, for they will be gone all too soon.
