Happy Birthday Stella:
There was a special doggie birthday party at the home of Lynn and Chuck Hadyniak on Sunday October 13. It was their Bloodhound Stella’s first birthday.
Those invited were Stella’s siblings and they came from Rhode Island and Bridgton, Maine. There were 7 hounds and one black lab. They all got along quite well and played ball, ran all around (fenced in large yard and was very tired by the end of the day. Cupcakes made in the design of hounds were made for the adults together with a birthday cake with all the dogs’ names on it. Also for the dogs cupcakes were available made out of ground beef with egg and the frosting consisted of mashed potatoes. All the above was made my Kait West. She did a beautiful job and the cakes were delicious! Signs were made and hung on the corner of Greeley Road, right up to their home. There were 60 balloons that decorated the yard and posts. All the paper goods, cups, napkins, table cloths, plates etc. was a doggie design.
The adults had a great time watching the dogs get acquainted and then became friends. A good time was had by all and we are already looking forward to their second birthday! By the way, Stella now weighs 120 lbs. and is still growing!
600 photos were taken by Lynn, Chuck and I, not to mention the ones that were taken by the guests.

More then 80 years ago Harold and Viola Greeley and Paul and Pearl McFarland became friends and grew up together in Freedom. Well two weeks ago Viola and Harold celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. This past week Paul and Pearl celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary too. When Viola and Harold got married, Paul and Pearl was their maid of honor and best man. I’m sure they have many stories to tell and memories that can never be taken away from them. The Lord has truly blessed the two couples to celebrate 60 years of marriage and friendship. Congratulations to Paul and Pearl! May you have many more happy years of your lives filled with good health and love.
They say, the first 50 are the hardest, well I guess for both couples the last 10 have been a piece of cake.
