Because of the bad weather, the Selectmen’s Meeting has been cancelled twice. On Monday January 13, the Selectmen will hold their meeting at the Town Office starting at 6:00 p.m. (hopefully)
Well it’s that time of year again for nomination papers to be available at the Town Office to be picked up and returned to the Town Office no later then 30 days.
SELECTMAN, Assessor, Overseers of the Poor- 3 year term
Clerk – 1 year term
Tax Collector -1 year term
Excise Tax Collector – 1 year term
Treasurer – 1 year term\
Friday, January 31 is the last day to register and get your license for your dog. The cost per dog is $11.00 or $6.00 for Spay/ Neutered As of February 1, a late fee of $25.00 will be added to the cost of the registration. Don’t wait, do it now!
Dirigo Grange #98:
There will not be any meetings held at the Dirigo Grange Hall during the months of January and February.
The Dirigo Grange #98 will not be holding their meetings at the Grange Hall during the month of January and February.

Our deepest sympathy go out to Marilyn Perry whose husband Cyril J. Perry Jr., 76, of Freedom, passed away on Dec. 27, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Waterville. Get Well and Feel Better!
Harold Greeley took a nasty fall at his home and has facial buts and a broken arm. He spent two days in the hospital and is now at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home for rehab located in Waterville.
Billy Joel Concert:
My son Chuck and two grandsons, Tyler and Kyle are driving down to Miami, Florida to see Billy Joel in concert on January 11. They will be back on the January 14. Chuck was happy to pack shorts and sleeveless shirts! They are in for a good time!
January is almost half way over, time to start thinking Spring!
