Freedom Town News
The Town Office will be closed on Monday, April 24 due to the Patriots’ holiday. It will reopen on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.
We are looking for some people to be on a Cemetery Committee in Freedom to work on the old cemeteries. They need a lot of work. We are not looking to have a committee that just meets, we are looking for people that want to get out and do the work. There are brush/trees that need to be cut and general clean up and repair. The Town of Freedom has a quote from someone that can repair the stones, but we are in a time crunch before his deadline. It is the Town's responsibility to get this done and we are willing to help, there is no pay, but you can get a lot satisfaction from seeing how even a few hours’ work can make a big difference. You don't need to be a resident of Freedom, just have a strong back and a willingness to get the job done.
You can contact Kim Holmes, her number is in the book or the Town Office, 382 6177.
Now is the time for you to step up to the plate and volunteer some of your time for the good of the town.
Door to Door:
This is a reminder to all of Freedom’s residents,, there will be a door to door pick-up on Saturday, June 7 starting at 7:00 p.m. So start gathering your “stuff” together for you have plenty of time to get it ready to be picked up. There will be only one pick-up scheduled for this year,
Voice of Freedom:
I want to wish Gloria Pacheco lots of good luck in her new residence located in Unity. Gloria moved from Freedom after living here for twenty years. She wants to tell all the residents of Freedom that she made so many friends and dot not intend to forget any of them. She will keep in touch frequently and wants to say special thanks to Kate and Paul of Freedom General because they were always such a big help to her, and the Selectmen and other people in the Town Office. There are just tpo0o many to mention.
A new eating place opened up in Unity called The Cast Iron Grill in the ole Homestead building next to Edwards. Wishing them success is in their future.

Wishing a belated “Happy Passover” to those that celebrate this special holiday and to everyone else that celebrates, a “Happy and Joyous Easter”
On Easter we celebrate love,
love coming down from heaven,
love blanketing the earth
in a transforming embrace;
unique and infinite love,
giving more than we can imagine
for us, to cleanse our sin,
a perfect sacrifice, Lamb of God,
the walking, talking Word.
He is teacher, role model, friend,
this God in human form,
dying, then rising from the dead,
proving all who believe
will also rise
to have eternal life, with Him,
Lord of all.
Oh, Happy, Happy Easter!
