Cemetery:

We are looking for some people to be on a Cemetery Committee in Freedom to work on the old cemeteries. They need a lot of work. We are not looking to have a committee that just meets, we are looking for people that want to get out and do the work. There are brush/trees that need to be cut and general clean up and repair. The Town of Freedom has a quote from someone that can repair the stones, but we are in a time crunch before his deadline. It is the Town's responsibility to get this done and we are willing to help, there is no pay, but you can get a lot satisfaction from seeing how even a few hours’ work can make a big difference. You don't need to be a resident of Freedom, just have a strong back and a willingness to get the job done.

You can contact Kim Holmes, her number is in the book or the Town Office, 382 6177.

Now is the time for you to step up to the plate and volunteer some of your time for the good of the town.

Door to Door:

This is a reminder to all of Freedom’s residents,, there will be a door to door pick-up  on Saturday, June 7 starting at 7:00 p.m.   So start gathering your “stuff” together for you have plenty of time to get it ready to be picked up.  There will be only one pick-up scheduled for this year,

Voice of Freedom:

Avian Haven:

The Golden Eagle that Diane and Marc spoke about in their 2013
Year End Report recovered from her difficulties and has been released!  Her story is told in a slide show they just posted on their website. http://www.avianhaven.org/ahslides_2014_04_golden_eagle.pdf

It is awoderful story with a happy ending.  Take the time to go and read all about the Golden Eagle that was cared for by Diane, Marc and volunteers.
