Voice of Freedom

Now is the time of year that everyone is so busy shopping, baking, decorating and preparing for Christmas! The little ones are writing their letters to Santa, and the adults are wishing Santa will be good to them. If we have a white Christmas, it will be a fun time to go ice skating, snowmobiling and enjoy winter sports. Soon the year 2012 will be coming to an end, and you will be able to take the time to reflect on this past year. Many things have happened for the good, and the bad, people passed away, and babies were born.

The holidays are a time when family, friends and neighbors all come together and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, who was born in a manger.  The houses are filled with the smell of baking cookies and preparing favorite dishes, some traditional and some new recipes

It’s a time to reflect on past Christmases and to remember the many happy days we shared with those who are now spending the holiday in heaven with our Lord!.

I guess I’m getting a little ahead of myself here, since Christmas is still 19 days away, but these are the feelings I am thinking about now and just wanted to share them with you.
