Dirigo Grange #98
Dirigo Grange #98 is collecting items to be used for beano prizes at Tall Pines in Belfast. These items are on their wish list: jewelry, cologne, perfume, unscented moisturizing creams, warm socks for men, candy, small bags or cans of potato chips, small and medium-size stuffed animals and knickknacks. The animals and knickknacks do not need to be new, but should have been gently used. If you would like to donate something, call 382-3315.
Budget Committee
All requests from charitable organizations must be turned into the Budget Committee no later than Jan. 1, 2013. Late requests will not be acknowledged.
Voice of Freedom
I can hardly believe that 2012 is over! Where did the time go? During this time I have been reflecting on the many changes that occurred in my life this past year. I attended different activities at both UMO and UMF, and my grandchildren made me proud. Went on several vacations, had friends and relatives visiting me here in Maine, lost a grand-dog and got another one, Stella Bella, the bloodhound. It’s amazing how the antics of a puppy can bring so much enjoyment to a family household. The loss of relatives was minimal, the births of babies were glorious, no very serious health issues, and renewed old acquaintances. Tyler finished up with a 4.0 GPA this semester and Kyle had a second surgery on his shoulder and has been a bit laid up. All in all, 2012 was a blessed year for the Hadyniak family.
I want to wish all the readers of TRJ a very healthy, prosperous and safe new year. Now that the holidays are almost over, we can get back to normal days and get back to business.
