The Annual Town Meeting was held on Saturday, March 9, at the Dirigo Grange Hall. Forty to 50 residents were in attendance. Cindy Abbott and Erna Keller will be serving another year and Ron Price will be the chairman of the Select Board for another three years. Congratulations to all three officers.
The wind ordinance failed by three votes and the commercial development ordinance passed by three votes. As of this writing, a recount was requested, and it will take place as soon as possible.
The town report was dedicated to Roy and Marguerite Ward, Lendell K. Chase (deceased) and Frederick Artell Overlock (deceased).
Credit goes to Cindy Abbott and Erna Keller for the design of the report together with the photos, and especially the front cover showing the before and after of the mill at Freedom Falls (1834-2013). Thank you, girls, for a job well done.
Once again the meeting ended before noon and those who attended the lunch didn’t have to rush through it.

Voice of Freedom
Congratulations to Tyler Charles Hadyniak and Mary Saucier, both of Freedom, who made the dean’s list at the University of Farmington. Keep up the good work and know that both family and friends are proud of you.
Birthday
Special happy birthday wishes go out to my twin grandsons, Tyler and Kyle, who turned 20 on March 21. Their birthdays are very special to me, since mine is only three days before (different year, of course) theirs, and it’s a special time for us.
Passover
The first day of Passover is Tuesday, March 26.
Wanted
There is still a need for some volunteers for the town-owned cemetery committee, if there are any takers, please contact the Town Office.
Have a great week!
