Sunday, March 24, is Palm Sunday. Catholics around the world will be attending church and receiving palms. It will also be the first Palm Sunday for the newly elected Pope Francis. Easter Sunday, March 31, will be very special, and it is also early this year.

Monday, April 1, is known as April Fool’s Day! There are those who enjoy playing jokes on others and it can be very entertaining.

The next scheduled Selectmen’s meeting is on Monday, April 8, at the Town Office starting at 6 p.m.

Friday, March 29, is the last Friday of the month, which is recyclable day. Please have your recyclables out by 7 a.m.

Voice of Freedom

My grandson Tyler is running for president of the Student Senate at University of Maine Farmington. The election will be held at the end of the month. Wishing you lots of good luck, Tyler!

Congratulations to Sue Friend, who tied the knot on March 9 and had the reception at the Dirigo Grange Hall. May you and your spouse always continue to have your lives filled with happiness and joy!

Spring has arrived and dumped over a foot of snow; let’s hope that was the last snowfall of the season.

Have a great week and contact me with any news you would like to share with our readers.
