Reeser Manley

Liberty — Reeser Manley, co-author of “The New England Gardener's Year” along with Marjorie Peronto, will do a presentation focused on the major themes of the book Saturday, May 10, at 1 p.m. at Liberty Library, 59 Main St./Route 173.

Manley’s Gardening in Tune with Nature talk will include the book’s philosophy that the garden should be viewed as an ecosystem in which native plants predominate and all forms of life contribute to the gardener's success. He also will present the practical aspects of gardening that are covered in the book including pruning, composting and cover cropping.

The presentation will be followed by a book-signing event for those interested in purchasing a signed copy of the book. The event is cosponsored by the Liberty Gardeners.
