Heater-rated Gas Stoves and Fireplaces are changing.  The hearth industry is moving to electronic ignition appliances. These units will also be equipped with a stand-by continuous (standing) pilot default which will enable the consumer, with the flick of a switch, to have the ability to use the units even without electrical power!

The new units also offer all new remote control options.  The consumer will be able to control the flame height (BTUs), the blower and in many cases accent lights with the new remote.

For a limited limit consumer may still purchase the standing pilot appliances. These units typically retail for $250-$450 less than the new electronic pilot units depending on options selected.
