Agricultural practice is just one of the issues examined in the award-winning documentary “Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of our Lives.”

Belfast — There will be a free screening of “Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of our Lives,” an award winning documentary film, Tuesday, April 8, at 6 p.m. at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St. The event is co-sponsored by the Belfast Free Library and the Belfast Co-op.

“Genetic Routlette” presents scientific documentation about the potential risks of eating genetically engineered foods, especially among children. A post-film discussion will be led by Logan Perkins, coordinator for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association’s successful Right-To-Know GMO (genetically modified organisms) labeling campaign.
