Bucksport — The young Mount View football team continues to search for its first win of the 2012 campaign on the heels of its Sept. 21 Little Ten Conference Class C showdown with host Bucksport.

The Golden Bucks (3-1) scored early and often against the Mustangs (0-4), rolling to a 34-0 halftime lead and a 41-0 advantage after three quarters en route to a 41-8 win.

Ricky Moulton scored the lone touchdown on the ground for Mount View in the fourth quarter, while Clint Spaulding cashed in the two-point conversion for the Thorndike-based squad.

Bucksport's Nick Bishop had little trouble navigating through the Mount View defense, racking up 217 yards on nine carries and three touchdowns, while Josh Gray added 107 yards on five carries and two scores.

In the Maine Principals' Association Crabtree Point Standings for Eastern Class C, Mount View (0-4, 48.2759 points) is 12th (last), while Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft (3-0, 153.3333 points) is first in the 12-team region. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs.
