Good News, Dill Fans!
Democratic Maine State Senator Cynthia Dill of Cape Elizabeth will soon make at least her sixth visit to Knox County in connection with her campaign for the U.S. Senate seat to be vacated by Olympia Snowe. Having won a solid victory in a four-way Democratic primary in June, she now faces Maine Secretary of State Republican Charlie Summers, Independent former Governor Angus King and three others on the ballot for the seat in November.
Senator Dill will join one of her opponents in the race in a debate at the Camden Opera House on Thursday October 11. Her opponent in the debate will be Independent Angus King.
The topic for the evening will be “Foreign Relations: What Maine’s New Junior Senator Can Do.” The event is sponsored by the Mid-Coast Forum on Foreign Relations and will be moderated by Forum President Mac Deford.
There is no admission and no reserved seating. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the 6:00 to 7:30 event. For more information, please phone 236-8288 or visit www.midcoastforum.org.
