‘Hansel and Gretel’ on Colonial screen
Belfast — Colonial Theatre's More Than Movies series continues with Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel,” sung in German and captured live last year at the Paris Opera. It runs about two hours and will be screened Sunday, April 6, at 1:30 p.m.
This charming production from last spring features Daniela Sindram and Anne-Catherine Gillet in the title roles. As a family favorite with a shorter running time, “Hansel and Gretel” offers an excellent choice for introducing kids to opera.
Admission is $10.25, $8.25 for teens and $5.25 for children. The Colonial Theatre is located at 163 High St. Wine and beer are served, along with an expanded concession menu. For more information, call 338-5087.
