Harold Edwin Leach, 76
Searsport — Harold E. Leach, 76, died peacefully Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Togus.
Harold was born on Islesboro, May 15, 1936. He was the son of Fernald and Gertrude (McLaughlin) Leach. Following high school Harold served his country in the Army.
Harold was a loving and caring man who greatly enjoyed life. He liked to play piano, sing, read and take out his boat for a nice ride. He was an avid churchgoer and loved to share time with his family and friends.
Predeceasing Harold were his parents; sisters Joanne Price and Harriet Parsons; and a niece, Andrea Sinclair.
Surviving is a brother, Carleton Leach, of New Hampshire; sisters Leila Babbidge of Islesboro, Priscilla Sinclair of Florida, Cynthia Perry of Liberty, Judy Leach of Islesboro and Sharon Helps of New Hampshire. Also surviving is a dear friend, Dora, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
An 11 a.m. graveside service for Harold will be held Thursday, June 14, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Islesboro.
In lieu of flowers the Leach family suggests memorials be made to Pine Tree Hospice, 883 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
