Hilton Park brings acoustic roots to Unity
Unity — Hilton Park, an award-winning Maine acoustic roots trio with a reputation for emotionally engaging live performances, will perform Friday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at the Unity College Center for Performing Arts, 42 Depot St.
Hilton Park showcases father/son team Bruce and Conor Hilton; and family friend Gregg Pannier. They explore intimate musical textures, creating a sound that is authentic and endearingly classic … with enough modern grit to captivate today’s audience.
With varied instrumentation and confident three-part vocal harmonies, Hilton Park’s repertoire recalls the “blood harmony” in family acts from the Everly Brothers to the Avett Brothers. In 2015, the trio won the New England Music Award for Best In State: Maine, an award that spans all musical genres. Hilton Park has received two more NEMA nominations for Roots Act of the Year.
The band’s latest CD, “Moments …,” features stylish harmonies accompanied by guitar, piano, mandolin, dulcimer, cello, flute and bouzouki.
Tickets are $15, available at the door and online at uccpa.unity.edu.
