The Mussel Ridge Historical Society is hosting the Knox County Display of the Eastern Illustrating & Publishing Company's historical photographs from the Penobscot Marine Museum in the upstairs room of the Owls Head Community Building starting August 9th.  We will be having an informal reception for the display from 6 to 8pm, Thursday August 9th with brief remarks from Kevin Johnson from the Penobscot Marine Museum at around 7pm.

The display consists of historical photographs from real picture postcards taken throughout Knox County. Descriptions of each picture have been provided by organizations/individuals from each town in the county.  If you are not able to attend the reception, the collection may be viewed any time the town office is open, which is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 to 5pm.

We hope you will take a look and let us know what you think.
