Hoy featured at Lincolnville Fine Art
Lincolnville — Lincolnville Fine Art Gallery, 2522 Atlantic Highway/Route 1 at Lincolnville Beach, is displaying the work of Jill Hoy this fall/winter season. The gallery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and other times by appointment.
Hoy divides her time between Stonington and New York. The work she creates in Maine is inspired by direct observation of the landscape and includes seascapes, architectural studies and garden works. She likes working on location and is especially interested in the effects of natural light, color and pattern. Hoya has been a regular resident of the Deer Isle area since 1965.
Lincolnville Fine Art shows sculptures, assemblages and pottery. Other artists with work on display include David Larson, Kevin James, Jerri Finch, William Hallett, Diana Young, Richard Kapral, Don Wass and R.C McFaul. The gallery will be open throughout this winter. For more information, contact owner Dwight Wass at 789-5000.
