Humane Society of Knox County wins 1st prize for non-profits in Lobster Festival Parade.
We're excited to announce that the Humane Society of Knox County's cat car float won top honors in the non profit division at the 65th annual Lobster Festival Parade. The HSKC Cat Car, equipped with ears, a tail and a whimsical mewing car horn and towing a larger than life dog, wowed the crowd. The car is part of HSKC's community outreach program, teaching responsible pet ownership, serving twenty mid-coast towns and encouraging community members to volunteer at the shelter. HSKC, your community animal shelter, cares for over 1200 animals a year.
