In Bed Total Spine Care Class in Belfast

Exercise in Bed? But can there really be a gentle self-care to free, lengthen, support and unwind the spine? A routine that anyone, at any age or level, can do in your own bed, at very low cost?

You can experience it for yourself on Sunday afternoon July 27, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. when the Belfast Yoga Studio will present a special session of Yamuna Body Rolling that will focus on routines to be done in bed with the focus on Total Spine Care.

This routine is completely different from all other more active Yamuna® Body Rolling back routines, because it allows time for each vertebrae to create its own space and position. It directly stimulates the central nervous system, creating very deep relaxation.

In this class students will learn In Bed Routines that support the spine from the front with safe and gentle deep core strengthening massage while lifting the sternum to lift the rib-cage and free the neck. Also great detail working the back from the coccyx, or tailbone, to the skull.

This routine is really a study of your own spine. It balances the supporting muscles-the erector spinae-and the more superficial muscles-releasing their grip and taking impact out of the bones that has been created by years of trauma.

All this occurs simply through weight-bearing in bed, use of the breath, and staying power. Your slow breathing and strategic placement of the gentle balls do all the work of releasing and relaxing the tension of any back strain and bring healing, nourishing blood to all those tight, entrenched spots while restoring your body’s natural order of movement. You will feel the difference immediately.

This workshop is only $45 prepaid with a check, or $50 using our online PayPal tool, or $55, at the door, space permitting. Please note that we often sell out in advance. If you own a blow-up mattress, please bring it with you. Also bring your own Yamuna balls, if you have them.
