KnitMaine-ia is back
Searsport — The fourth annual KnitMaine-ia fashion show will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, at 5:30 p.m. at Searsport Shores Campground, in conjunction with Fiber College, Route 1 on the ocean.
The event is organized by the Women of St. Margaret's in Belfast. Attendees will enjoy an amazing array of handknit, crocheted and felted garments and accessories, modeled and displayed. Tickets are $10, which include a wine and cheese reception with live music following the show; and drawings for door prizes from various local shops.
All monetary proceeds will benefit New Hope for Women. In addition, handknit mitten donations are encouraged for the Three Little Kittens Project to help keep Waldo County children warm. Mittens will be collected during Fiber College, at Belfast City Hall and Heavenly Socks Yarns. For more information, send email to email@example.com or visit stmargaretsbelfast.org.
