Old School House
The old school has gotten some much needed work. The part of the roof, the dormer part, has been hooked onto the roof, and is looking more like a school all the time. I haven't stopped up, but just travelling by it really looks nice.
I recently had the opportunity to visit with an elderly gentleman formerly of Montville. It was Warren Belgard from Wilsonville, Alabama, also Kay Cunningham , and Warren's daughter, Lynn Belgard from Gardner, Mass. all met me at Ridgetop. He had just celebrated his 87th Birthday on Oct. 18th. It was nice to visit, and talk of old times. We had some old photos to share. He missed the Frye Mt. tour, but is in hopes of coming next year. So, I do hope the Tour gets continued for next year. We had a nice visit.

The Mount View Alumni classes are trying to challenge the different classes to raise money. There beloved English teacher, Tanya Hubbard is in charge of Warm Waldo heating assistance to help the needy. Come on folks, let's all work together to raise money for this. Lori Grant, she has also been going around to businesses after people challenged someone else, and getting donations. This is great. It is all a worthy cause. Come on out to a big breakfast. There will be Eggs,( cooked the way you like them,)Sausage, Bacon, Ham, Home Fries, Pancakes, Baked Beans, Toast, Coffee, Juice, and probably more. Paul Stewart is cooking lots of Beans.

I stopped to check out Wayne's new building project yesterday. They are building a new garage with bedrooms, playroom, and space above it. It is going to be really nice. The kids are loving it, as each one will have their own bedroom. I asked the kids, where is my room?? haha...Cody told me I could move in. Just kidding, I would lead them all astray. Nice to have all the extra room.
Coming Up This Saturday Oct. 26th
Knox Station Grange will host the last supper of the season. Baked Ham, and all the Trimmings. 4:30-6:00 pm at the Grange Hall. Come join us for a Home cooked Supper.
There will be a Subway at the Depot Store, and it will open on Halloween Day.
There is also a Village Depot Laundromat coming where the train station was. Look for further details as I don't have any more on that.
I can hear them late at night. It seems like we are getting over run with them. Even see them out in the fields during daylight looking for mice or something to eat. Hear them on Webb. road too.
Get well wishes are being sent to Tammy McCue who is at EMMC in Bangor. I hope you get better very soon. Her grandson, newborn, Chase Miner, is also still a patient there.
Another Get well
I send Get Well Wishes to Eileen Gage who fell and broke her hip. She was at EMMC, but has now been sent to Oak Grove in Waterville for rehab. She is in Room 28.
Grace Stevenson is at Lakewood in Waterville for rehab now. I am sure she would love to hear from you, or even have a visit. Get better soon.
A Very Happy Birthday of 87 years is sent to Warren Belgard who celebrated Oct. 18th. May you enjoy many more. We had the pleasure to discuss the fate of all the 50-55 homesteads that were burned on Frye Mt. in the late 1930's. What a sad time this must have been for all concerned. My grandmother, being one of them. The Belgard's did not sell out to the government. I hope to see Warren next year for his visit. God Bless.
I am sending Happy Birthday wishes to my grandson, Kyle Doughty in Brooks. Hope you enjoy your day, 27th. Love you.
Ron Stevenson has been travelling all over, just was in New York. He has been running races. Good for you Ron, keep on runnin'.!!!
Muddy Paws Update
Annette would like all of you to know she still does Dog Grooming on Mondays and Wednesdays at her own home. Call her for an appt., 322-6044. Get Fido or Garfield all groomed, and flea treatment before winter. She will be glad to see you.
No new sightings on him at this time. Keep on looking for that big boy Collie dog. I believe he is still out there somewhere,. or somebody has him. Hopefully one of the hunters will see him. He looks like Lassie.
Until next week,
Have a great week. Enjoy our days, as it is colder mornings, frost is seen on our windshields, and cars. The days are cooler, and the leaves are turning fast now, and being blown off the trees. The trees are pretty bare, and that is sure a sign winter is slowly approaching us. Looking up towards Gold Top Farm from here in the valley, the trees are pretty bare. Winter is on it's way for us folks.
Happy Halloween...Trick or Treat !!!
