Sympathy

I would like to send Sincere Sympathy to the Family of Margaret " Peggy " Mc Kenna. She was the sweetest person ever. I loved her photography over the years. She was all Smiles when I last saw her, and she dearly loved to be at the Frye Mt. Tour on the horse and wagon's taking pictures of all. I shall miss you Peggy. Rest In Peace Lady.

Clayton Larrabee will be bringing his horses and wagon for the Auxiliary Ladies to ride in. And any Veteran to join in.

Penney Funeral

Carl Penney was given a Royal Send Off on Friday, May 16th. Clayton Larrabee with his team of Belgian Horses and Wagon conveyed Carl's casket from Knox Stream to Knox Ridge Cemetery for burial. A long funeral Procession went the distance. Carl dearly loved horses, especially his Race Horses.  Thanks for serving your Country. Rest In Peace. Thoughts to his wife, Beverly and the Family.

Testimonial

I attended the 4th District Testimonial for District Pres. Ann Spaulding, and 10th District Commander Leo Himes Friday night. This was held at Skowhegan Post 16.   Gary and Leo also attended. A nice time was had by all.

Dandelions

I managed to get one mess of greens dug before they went by. Seems like they were gone by in no time. I love the greens, but my back won't cooperate with me to dig them. I also have to get them before my sister in law JoAnne  tackles them with the lawn mower.

Freedom News Article

Please read the Freedom Town news article Sally submitted about our future work on the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom. As I am Clerk of the Association, from time to time I write the news about it too. The " Italian Spaghetti Feast " Kim Holmes and committee is planning sounds so delicious. This is a Public Benefit Supper. Sadly, I will be in Bangor for our American Legion and Auxiliary  Convention  that weekend, and not able to help her. Please support the supper.

Until next week,

I hope everyone enjoys the nicer weather we have been having. The black flies did manage to find us. Get Well to those having health issues. Happy Birthday to those celebrating a Birthday. Let me know, and I will put it in the paper for our friends and families to read. This column I do for you people, not myself. If you have news items please let me know about it. Thanks. Have a great week everyone.
