Summer weather or not

Our weather has been so crazy. First we get a lot of rain, then it warms up nice. We actually had a frost the other morning. Not a bad one, but some frost appeared on the plants. New Beat Farm managed to escape with only a little frost to appear on there property. The farm has chickens, and they run free range, and so far I have not managed to run over any in the road.I enjoy seeing them work the horses in their fields. Oh for the days of old times !!

Lost Dog

Derek and Heather's dog Blue, who is a hound has run away again from their home in Waldo. He took off in Knox yesterday. If you see him call 323-6457 or 322-3024.

Italian Spaghetti Feast

The Pleasant Hill Cemetery is indeed in need of a sign with the Cemetery name on it. The supper and silent auction on June 14th 4-6 pm will be a fund  raiser to help with the cost of the granite stone. Anyone wishing to donate please contact Kim Holmes, and she can be found working at Freedom General. There will be various homemade sauces, salad, and breads, and plenty of Spaghetti so come hungry. The support will be much appreciated.

This Weekend May  31- June 1

Free Fishing Weekend for all. Take the kiddos out to fish and enjoy the weekend doing something together. Sounds like fun to me.

Photo

On Facebook, I saw a Post on there of someone finding a photo of an elderly little lady in a book. So I shared the Post and our neighbor in Montville Phyllis Fuller recognized the photo as being her mother. So to make this short, the lady is mailing the photo to Phyllis.  She apparently had bought books at a barn sale, and there was the photo. It was quite the story when she told me.

Bluegrass Music

On June 15th is the 42nd Blistered Fingers  Family Bluegrass Festival in Litchfield. Starts at 8 am. If you like Bluegrass Music this is the place to be.

Northport VFW- May 31st Saturday

They will have a Public Supper at the Hall in Northport on  Rt. 1 May 31st. The Menu is Baked Beans, Numerous Casseroles, and much more.. 4:30-6 pm. The funds will help with the building project. Come out to eat.

Until Next week,

Have a great week everyone. Enjoy the sunshine, as it is going to happen very soon. Get those gardens planted, and enjoy some fresh veggies. Plant some pretty flowers as well. The time flies by!!!
