Musical ReCreation 40th Year Celebration

This Musical Group of Young Singers, The ReCreation Group,  from Pennsylvania entertained  the Veteran's,  and their families, and friends at Togus Thursday. I took Gloria Pacheco, a Korean Conflict Vet with me. It was a wonderful hour of music. Some from the 40's. The singers participated with their audience. They sang the song of each Branch of the  Service recognizing the Veteran's from that Branch. They have travelled to all 50 States, and attended each VA Facility in the Country. They have put on shows all over as well, including the Maine State Veteran's Home. They were in Augusta home Thursday evening. This is wonderful entertainment for our hospitalized Veteran's. There were around 140 present. We stopped at Chinah-Dinah for lunch.

Lawn Mowing

Wow, where has all the tall grass come from ?? The rain keeps coming, and the grass grows fast too. At least my cucumber patch is thriving. Now to keep the insects away. Got some of the plant dust made from flowers, well I think that just makes the bugs come by more now..Oh well.

Until Next Week,

Enjoy our nice weather. We have had showers, but we can't complain, it is a drought in the Western part of the Country. The Veggies are ready in garden's, and at Farmer's Markets and Stands. My tomato plants were planted late, not in a good spot either, so will probably be ready by December, so therefore I am not looking to get many from there...Oh well. Pay It Forward Folks !

A message I received.....

Curra's Farm Stand  here in Town has Wild Maine Blueberries...Time for Muffins....yummy...
