Hello to All,

I hope everyone had a nice Easter with family or friends. I had dinner with Bob and Ann. Wayne and Laura and the girls brought me a plate of food tonight as well. I lucked out for sure. Nice to be invited out, and not have to cook. It was a beautiful warm day.

Belated Birthday

Here is wishing Marilyn Perry a Happy 81st Birthday. May you have many more.

Sympathy

Our thoughts are with Pat Pierson and husband Harlan on the recent death of her mother, Ruth Murphy.

Condolences to the Family of Edward Warman who has passed away in Florida. He was a resident of Thorndike for many years.

Town of Knox News:

Spring Clean-Up Day will be on June 3rd 9AM-1PM at the Knox Sand Shed. Detailed info will follow soon.

The Absentee Ballots for the May 9th RSU 3 Revolving Renovation Referendum are available at the Town Office. Call 568-3907 for info.

Senior Farm Shares

Pete Curra of Curra's Farm Stand would like folks to know that his Shares are late this year. He has not received them yet to get out to people, but hopefully will soon.

In Belfast.. Reny's Plaza

The Cinderella Project of Maine for Gowns will have Gowns available on April 22nd 9AM-2 PM. Please let the young ladies know. Waldo CAP is also a drop off place for Gowns if you wish to donate. Hurry...it is this weekend.

Dirigo Grange...Freedom Grange

It is Community Service Night on April 20th 7 PM. This is an open meeting. Dale Hustus Sr. will be singing.

Freedom Historical Society

I attended the meeting at which Matt Wheeler from Penobscot Marine Museum came, and brought his video of some of the old glass slides photos of Freedom and also Albion. Was hoping to see some of Knox, but he had none. It is amazing the huge collection of glass slides they have in Searsport. He invites people to stop at the Museum.

Knox Historical Society

Joyce Thompson, and I still have some of the Calendars of 2017 if you might be interested in the pictures in it. Half price. Some at Town Office too.

Kids are home

Yes, it is Spring Vacation this week. Seems good to see it is drying up from all the snow, and green grass coming, and tree's budding. Always good to dry up the mud. The birds are all coming back slowly.

Get Well Soon

It is good that Mike Ingraham will be soon back to his old self, and will be having a pace maker now. Take care of yourself.

We hope Clayton Larrabee is doing good too. It is hard to be sick when you have been active all your life. Thinking of you...

Get Well to Jackie Bryant as well. Hope you are doing good. And Get Well to Cindy Higgins who had foot surgery. Rusty is taking good care of her. I hope all of you are better.

Freedom Academy...Unity Freedom

Our meeting to start off our meetings for the Reunion and Scholarship plans is going to be on April 24th 10 AM at Freedom Church.

Sunday Race

The Austin Grant Mud Bowl Race at Unity Raceway is coming up on Sunday, April 23rd at 1:30 PM. Sounds like a muddy good time. Get your car and join in.

Belated Birthday

A Happy 80th Belated Birthday to Ron Cropley. Hope your day was grand.

Visitors

Zach Nickerson and girlfriend Lindsay, and Jacie Nickerson called on Sunday night. They were off to get Ice Cream. Con'z has opened in Unity as of Saturday. 1-8 PM every day. Sara Doughty and Brandon Reynolds stopped on by Saturday night, as she is helping me with my new cell phone, and today she was at it again. I just hate new tech stuff. I will figure it out some day. Good thing I do not have to depend on it..

Restaurant...Coming soon

The Jones Family...Diane and Paul have purchased the old Crosstrax building in Unity, and plan to have a Restaurant there. Stay tuned..This was good news.

Jackson Food Pantry

Cindy has listed a couple things for online auction again, bidding stops on Wednesday. Look for Jackson Food Pantry Auction Online on Facebook, and check it out. A rocking chair, and a framed picture I saw.

Ingraham Equipment Open House

A big crowd attended the recent Open House this past week. The food, and ice cream, yummy. Love the grapenut ice cream they always serve. Many Thanks !!

Spring has Sprung I do believe.

I am waiting on the dandelion green's to be ready. The nice warm days, and soon they will be up. The fiddlehead's will be coming along, too. That is Springtime to me. I hope you all have a nice week, be safe, stay warm.

Get Well in Albion
I hope that you, Paul McFarland get's well very soon.

Get Well in Florida

Get Well Wishes to Leroy Keller who is in the hospital, and had some heart surgery. He has had several stents put in, and suffered two heart attacks. He and Mary Celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday. May you both have many more years together. I hope you are soon out of the hospital, too.
