Friends

Had a phone call from old friends Rodney DuPerry of Benton, and his daughter, Katrice Lyness, from Milford, Mass. Nice to hear from them. Get better soon, Rod.

Snow

We had our first snowfall; it wasn't so bad after all. We got rain with it and it is nearly all gone already. It's warming up today, sunny outside as I write this up, and a little windy. We can handle it.

John and Beverly have gone to Florida for the winter. Nonie Larrabee was in Florida, but is now back home. Luckily, they avoided the snow.

Historical Society

They are still working on the calendar. Hope it goes to print soon. Can't hurry them up, so much to do.

Thanksgiving

Hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving, and wanted to get this printed because of our deadline date.

Chamber Singers

The Mount View Chamber Singers' Carols In The Round schedule has been issued and they will be at Freedom Congregational Church Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. They will be at Liberty Baptist Church Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. They have many more dates as well, this is just local dates.

Petitions

I left three petitions at Hilltop Store for Knox residents to sign so that the Senior Spectrum, Broadreach and New Hope for Women can have their articles included in the warrant for Town Meeting. Kindly sign these, thank you. It is not for me, but for the community to vote on.

Birthday

Happy birthday to my Aunt Margene Johns in Swanville. I won't add your age, you are still young at heart. And we all love you very much. I know all your family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren wish for you a very happy day.

Until next week

So glad the election is over. We will have to make the best of it, no matter who you voted for. God bless America. And to all our veterans, a salute to those still serving, and to those who have gone before, God bless, you will never be forgotten.
