Sympathy

I received a phone call and learned that my aunt Irene Nutt Drew of Portland had passed away at the age of 91 years young. She had been at St. Joseph's Nursing Home. She was the mother of Roger and Janice. She and her husband, Carl, used to own the store at Halldale Corner in Montville. There will be no funeral, as they will have a burial in the spring in Montville. She will be missed by all who knew her. Thinking of her family at this time.

I read that Jean Clark Cunningham of Liberty recently passed away. She was the sister of Ruth Clark Jackson of Morrill. My mother and her sisters grew up with the Clark girls from Montville. I remember them telling of some of their adventures.

Get well

I am sending get well wishes to Aunt Eva, who lives in Westbrook, and who is in a hospital in Portland at this time. Hope you are feeling better.

Birthday

Happy birthday to our cousin Ronald McDonald Feb. 21 in Winslow. I often wonder if he gets teased because of his name ... I have never thought to ask. I believe he is going to be 74. Wishing you many more. He works driving a limo since he retired, and I bet that is a fun job.

Until next week

Glad to see that everyone seemed to survive our blizzard we had, and we did not even lose power here. The snow piles have shrunk since the rainy mix we got and the sun came out. Everyone, enjoy these nice days, as spring can't be far behind . I heard from Edna Mitchell and she reads my news. Say hello to Elmin for me. Hope all you snowbirds are doing well in the sunny Florida area as well. I do not have much to report, as the Internet has been down. Stay safe and warm.
