Cub Scout news

Cub Scout Pack 233 in Unity will be serving a spaghetti dinner March 30, 4-6 p.m. There will be salads, rolls and desserts. Cost is $5 each. They are pre-selling tickets. The money raised will go towards their trip to Washington, D.C., in June. This event will be at the American Legion Hall in Unity. They are also selling gift cards to local businesses for $5 apiece. They recently helped put up duck boxes at the Sebasticook Land Trust. Let's help these little fellers with their fundraiser.

Maple Sunday

Spring is in the air. A nice sunny day today as I write this. We have had rain and the snowbanks have slowly disappeared. There is still snow, but much of it has melted. Now to contend with the mud. Some of the dirt roads are real muddy right now. The sap is still flowing freely.

This Sunday is Maine Maple Sunday, and time to get some syrup, candies, and even whoopie pies with syrup in them. Now that sounds yummy. Kinney's Sugarhouse in town is open. They hope to have you come for a visit. They will open at 9 a.m.

Town meeting

Our town meeting is Saturday at 10 a.m. Come and voice your opinion if you have questions. Hope to see you there.

Until next week

Stay safe. The sun is shining, so what more could we want? A belated happy birthday to Tammy McCue, as her birthday was the 13th. Please patronize our local businesses. They need us all to support them.
