Lasers, Fright and fireworks
Prospect — Fright at the Fort continues Friday and Saturday nights through the end of the month at the Fort Knox State Historic Site, Route 174. The theme of this year’s Fright is Out of This World — all things outer space and inter-dimensional.
A special treat for Fright attendees will occur during the Oct. 22nd performance, as faculty and students from the University of Maine’s New Media Department will be projecting lasers at various points along the Fright at the Fort course. This follows all-day Ghostport activities in neighboring Bucksport, sponsored by the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Fright at the Fort fireworks will take place on that evening and may be viewed from the Bucksport waterfront at 9:15 p.m.
Fright at the Fort runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m.; attendees should arrive by 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, $5 for those younger than 12. For those who want to avoid waiting in the ticket line, advanced tickets are $13/$7 and may be bought online at FrightXTix.com.
Proceeds from Fright help the Friends of Fort Knox fulfill its mission to restore Fort Knox and enhance its educational, cultural and economic value for the people of Maine.
