The Greater Bay Area Ministerium sponsors a Lenten luncheon series. The luncheons are brown-bag, with coffee, tea and sweets provided by the various churches. This year, the topic will be Living the Passion, and will be based on Leonard Sweet's book, "The Gospel According to Starbucks -- Living with a Grande Passion." (Waterbrook Press, 2007). The books suggests ways to make church Experiential, Participatory, Image-rich and Connective -- in short, an EPIC adventure. Participants will be talking about what this might mean for our churches, and what it means to live in the vitality of spirit. All are welcome!

Speakers and topics for the five weeks will be: Feb. 20, The Rev.Alan Shumway, First Baptist, "Living the Passion and EPIC life for our congregations"; Feb. 27, The Rev. Martha Kirkpatrick, St. Margaret's Episcopal, "Experiential -- Faith as a lived experience"; March 6, The Rev. Deane Perkins, Unitarian Universalist of Belfast and the Rev.
