Families will be invited to join the Belfast Lions Club for breakfast with Santa this Sunday, Dec. 2, from 8 to 11 a.m.

Eric Walker, a local Lion who is chairing this year's event, said the breakfast gives local children the chance to visit with Santa in a smaller and more intimate setting.

"The Belfast Lions Club loves doing this event every year as it give kids a much more comfortable setting to see and speak with Santa than, say, the mall," Walker said Monday, Nov. 26.

The event will be held at the Belfast Shrine Club across from Belfast City Park on Northport Avenue. This year's menu will include made-to-order omelets and pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, bagels, muffins, donuts, fruit cups and coffee. Walker said the meals are all-you-can-eat.

The cost of admission is $8 for adults and $3 for children. Santa will be available throughout the morning to pose for photos in exchange for a donation.
