Northport — The Belfast golf team competed in its second match in two days Aug. 30 and looked to continue its winning ways in hosting Winslow on the Northport Golf Course.

However, the visiting Black Raiders (1-1) came away with their first win of the campaign, handing the Lions (1-1) their first loss in the process, nipping the hosts 5-4. Winslow prevailed with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 192 to 200.

Belfast's Tim Sticht was the medalist with 42.

The individual results, with Lions listed first, were: Sticht (42) beat Justin Kervin (44); Larry Dyer (48) beat Josh Kervin (50); Alex Fritz (53) beat Mike Strahan (58); Grant Starrett (57) lost to Parker Morrison (47); Logan Mitchell (75) lost to Alex Grenier (51); and Doyle Bailey (61) beat Nathan Abbott (75).
