Lions' supper to benefit cancer patients

By Waldo County General Hospital | Jun 05, 2014

Do you know someone who is fighting cancer? If so, you know that not only is cancer a big enemy to fight, but most people have to worry about finances at the same time.

To help, the Lions’ Clubs of Belfast, Monroe and Searsport are holding a benefit supper on Friday, June 6, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Waldo County Shrine Club. On the menu are ham, turkey and all the fixings.

The supper is by donation, with all proceeds going to purchase gas cards for cancer patients going for treatment, or for friends and family going to visit a cancer patient in the Hospital unit.

There will also be a 50-50 raffle.

Hope to see you there. If you can’t make it and would like to mail a donation, the address is: Searsport Lions Club, P.O. Box 783, Searsport, ME 04974.
