Lisa G. Lear
Lisa G. Lear, 90, of Swanville, devoted mother and grandmother, went peacefully to the arms of her Lord while surrounded by family on September 26, 2013. She was born January 1, 1923 in Bremerhaven, Germany. She was predeceased by her son, John H. Lear in 1968 and husband Elbert H. Lear Jr. in 1973. A long-time resident of Belfast, she was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and had worked at W.T. Grant in Belfast.
Lisa is survived by her sons Elroy E. Lear of Dixmont, Heinz-Elbert Lear and his wife Jeannette of Swanville and Philip A. Lear of Unity; grandchildren Jacob B. Lear and girlfriend Meagan of So. Portland, Letitia L. Stover and husband Eddie of Prospect, Nicole J. Lear of Swanville, John D. Lear and wife Carollyn Ward of New Hampshire; Phillip E. Lear and wife Desirae of Belfast, Matthew A. Lear and wife Kaylynn of Newport, Samuel D. Lear, Zachary B. Lear and Joseph A. Lear of Belfast; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her only sister, Elfrieda Woodham of Bristol, Florida; special niece Marianne Lenoir of Florida; nephew Robert Woodham of Virginia; many in-laws; and other nieces and nephews.
Those who wish may make donations in Lisa’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Belfast United Methodist Church, The Disabled Veterans and Paralyzed Veterans of America. Special thanks go to Dr. Stephen Wilson, nurses and staff at Waldo County Hospital, Home Health and Hospice, and Rev. Jinwoo Chun who brought a spiritual comfort to Lisa.
