Each show will offer the opportunity to deepen in perspective, and to see the world in new ways. The format will change from time to time as we find the balance between celebrating the beauty in the world and the artistic genius among us with the need to be a voice for the voiceless and to find inspiration to do the work of justice, becoming the change we want to see in the world. City Limits is a geographic, historical, and cultural exploration of our country’s many musical trends. Each month, we’ll spend time in one city, listening to the music and stories that have come out of that specific place, from the turn of the last century to now. One month we might be in Kansas City, learning about the birth of the Bebop jazz scene; the following month could take us to Minnesota’s Twin City punk scene of the early 1980s. Come along for the ride…
“Lyssa’s Wednesday Riot,” features your favorite punk rock, alternative and new wave anthems from Rockland to London and everywhere in between. If it’s underground and features an electric guitar, we’ll probably play it!
