Local & Legendary ‘Lemonade’
Belfast — The Maine Youth Alliance/Game Loft will present “Lemonade with Mamda,” a presentation in which young people talk about growing up in America in the time of the Civil War, Monday, Feb. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.
The free, public event is part of Local and Legendary: Maine in the Civil War, a grant program funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and administered by the Maine Historical Society and the Maine Humanities Council. The Belfast Team is comprised of the library, Belfast Historical Society and Museum, Senior College at Belfast and Maine Youth Alliance/The Game Loft.
The Game Loft is an after-school and vacation program serving school-age youth, providing an environment where young people are guided to become caring, competent, confident, contributing and connected adults through games, leading to increased knowledge and understanding of our world.
