Lorraine Frothingham presents painting to Waldo County YMCA
Each Friday a group gathers in the lobby balcony at the Waldo County YMCA to do watercolor painting as part of the Active Older Adult program offerings. Lorraine Frothingham, who became a Y member in January 2005, has been a participant in that program since she joined the Y. Frothingham wanted to do something special to thank the Y for providing the space for seniors to practice their painting. She spent more than four months working on a watercolor painting of Blueberry Hill using the view looking west out the Y lobby windows. On Friday, Sept. 7, she presented Y Director Dale Cross with the finished product which can be viewed on display in the lobby.

Thank you, Thank you, Lorraine, how many hundreds of times have we seen that view when coming down from the walking track, A wonderful tribute...Virg Fowles
