The second weekend cast of Marsh River Theater’s “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” features, from left, Amy Simoneau, Elena Donovan, Sue Hall, Cassandra Palmer and Sarah Joy.

Brooks — Marsh River Theater will present “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, for two weekends at the in-town venue, 24 Monroe Highway/Route 139.

Opening night — Friday, Oct. 14 — is a fundraiser for the Lafayette Family Cancer Center; admission is $20 per adult, with a reception of food and drink following the 7 p.m. performance. Portraits from the Bare Truth Project will be on display. The Bare Truth Project is a photography exhibit of breast cancer survivors, and shows "the reality behind the pink ribbon."

“Love, Loss, and What I Wore” is an emotionally moving show about women — their high, their lows and how pieces of clothing are interwoven into the fabric of their lives. The Marsh River production, directed by Frank Champa, will feature a different cast each weekend.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 14, 15, 21 and 22, at 7 p.m. Admission for all but opening night are $12, $10 for senior citizens (this show is not suitable for children). To reserve seats, visit or call 722-4110.
