Belfast — The Lupine Cottage, an artists and crafter co-operative on Route 1, has joined the Penobscot Marine Museum’s Summer Folk Trail. As part of the "Summer Folk: The Tourists of Penobscot Bay" exhibit, the members of the co-op and guest artisans will provide demonstrations of traditional Maine crafts throughout July and August.

These demonstrations will include metalsmithing, fiber sculpture, rug making (braiding and hooking), quilting, hand sewing, spinning and knitting. Specific demonstration dates and times are available by calling The Lupine Cottage at 338-4300 or on the co-op’s website, lupinecottage.net; the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce calendar at belfastmaine.org; and via the Penobscot Marine Museum at penobscotmarinemuseum.org.
