Main Street Art Market and Wellness Festival promotes Ethical International and Local
A Main Street Art Market and Wellness Day Festival are being planned for Saturday August 9, 2014 in downtown Belfast. Hosted by Expanding Opportunities, a local non profit organization operating Aina Moja, an artisan support shop at The Health and Wellness Building, 39 Main Street, the organization asks the community to get involved. The Art Market is open to Vendors and seeks local Maine artists as well and cultural art that is ethically and responsibly sourced. Some spaces will be designated to local farmers with fresh Maine made goods and produce. Food Trucks are also invited. This event promises to be a fun time as we seek out talent, musicians and dancers and other performances and will be free to the public, while donations will be encouraged. A children's booth with Camp Forest will offer face painting, basket making and other crafts with nature in mind and invites you or your organization to participate. Inside the building, a fashion show will take place at noon and feature handmade and fair trade worldly fashions with a purpose. Anyone interested in taking part of this fun experience is encouraged to call Nicole at 930-8012. For more information on Expanding Opportunities, please visit www.exop.org.
