Maine Celtic Celebration on WERU

Orland — Music and interviews from the Maine Celtic Celebration 2014 will be featured Saturday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. on “The WERU Family Radio Hour" hosted by Belfast's Scot Cannon.

Among those interviewed will be 15-year-old Clara Phillips from New Gloucester, part of the Maine Youth Celtic Harp Ensemble; and Chris Grey from MDI, a Scottish small pipes player, jazz drummer and artist; he designed this year’s T-shirt. Also heard will be a number of musicians from this year’s festival and others from past years.

The show is aired on 89.9 FM Blue Hill, 99.9 FM Bangor and streamed at weru.org, where it will be available in the archive in coming weeks. To contact Cannon, email scotthemime@gmail.com.
