‘Maine Nature’ in Kramer Gallery
Belfast — Laura Tasheiko is artist for the month of September in the Kramer Gallery of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St. The exhibit, titled “Maine Nature Paintings,” offers a selection of Tasheiko’s landscapes, seascapes and nature paintings including oils, watercolors and “poured paintings.”
Tasheiko of Northport is a professionally trained artist with degrees in studio art and art education. She has taught K-12 art, as well as adult-level painting students. Tasheiko has shown extensively throughout New England and continues painting and selling her work to both private and corporate collections.
“In my paintings I portray the natural beauty of my Maine environment, mindful of the unique atmospheric conditions that make a painting read visually Northern New England. I paint both plein air and in my studio, capturing the essence of the place to share with all who see my work,” she said.
The exhibit is on display through Oct. 1. For more information, call the library at 338-3884, ext. 10, or visit belfastlibrary.org.
