‘Maine Photography Show’ deadline nears

Boothbay Harbor — All Maine photographers, from amateur to professional, are invited to enter the eighth annual “Maine Photography Show,” sponsored by Boothbay Region Art Foundation. Deadline is Friday, Feb. 1, at midnight.

Entry forms, rules and examples from last year’s winners are available online at mainephotographyshow.com. More than 100 images are to be selected by jurist Tony Sweet, who also will award prize winners in four categories: Color; B&W; Student; and special theme, Trees.  A total of three images from each entrant are accepted, and a combination of one or more categories can be used.

Exhibitors who are chosen for the gallery exhibit will be notified by mail. The show will open with an awards ceremony and reception Friday, April 12 and continue until May 3. The gallery is located at 1 Townsend Ave. and will be open to the public Thursdays through Sundays, as well as during the annual Boothbay Fisherman’s Festival.
