Maine Sport Outfitters offer fly tying this winter

Rockport — As it has for 20 or more years, Maine Sport Outfitters will offer fly tying classes this winter.

Paul McGurren, the Maine Sport fishing department manager who has taught fly tying classes for 20-plus year, said the classes will begin Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

There will be four-week sessions, intermediate level, for $40, including:

• Classic Maine Streamers: instructor Kyle Shea.

• Tiny Flies: instructor Jeff Space.

• Guide’s Favorite Flies: instructor Mike Gundel.

• Warmwater and Saltwater Flies: instructor Dan Johnson.

Additionally, an eight-week beginner level class will be taught by McGurren for $60.
