Maine State Police blotter
Augusta — Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between May 21 and June 3. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 1-800-452-4664.
Troopers conducted a bail check on Brian Hybers, 20, of Swanville. Hybers was arrested for violating his conditions of release and also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Trooper Benjamin Sweeney responded to a rollover crash on Route 1A in Winterport. Both occupants were evaluated by EMS personnel and released.
Trooper Corey Smith arrested David Philbric, 31, of Winterport on four outstanding warrants for unpaid fines. He was transported to the Waldo County Jail.
Trooper Jonathan Russell arrested Danasa Carson, 38, of Winterport on two warrants for failure to appear in court for operating after suspension and fishing without a valid license.
Trooper James MacDonald stopped a vehicle on Route 1A in Winterport for not having an inspection sticker. MacDonald determined the vehicle was not registered and had false plates on it. Matthew Walton, 40, was charged with attaching false plates.
Trooper Mark Ferreira arrested Jay S. Drinkwater, 47, of Brooks for the theft of copper from a residence in Stockton Springs.
Police investigated a cell phone harassment complaint in Palermo. The suspect was issued a No Harassment notice.
