Augusta — Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between June 12 and June 16. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.
Trooper Jeremiah Wesbrock responded to a vehicle burglary in Searsmont. The complainant said someone had taken her pursue out of her vehicle and used her credit cards in Belfast and Camden. The theft is still under investigation.
Trooper Wesbrock responded to a burglary complaint in Montville. The investigation revealed that someone broke into a house that is for sale and took copper heating pipes. The theft is still under investigation.
Trooper Corey Smith received a report of a truck stolen from a residence in Palermo. The truck and suspect were located in China.
Trooper Smith received a harassment complaint from a resident in Palermo.
Trooper Wesbrock stopped a vehicle on Route 3 in Searsmont for having an expired inspection sticker. Joni Porter, 31, was charged with operating after suspension.
